One thing I have come to learn in my short stint as a delusional mountainbike athlete is the value of a good bike shop. Just as Batman needs a good Robin and the Lone Ranger needs a good Tonto a cyclist needs a shop that is equally trustworthy, reliable, knowledgable, and convenient. As a recent transplant from Colorado (where I enjoyed outstanding support from
Wheat Ridge Cyclery in 2011) I was a little concerned about leaving the familiar faces in the local shop I had grown to trust and rely on. When I pulled into Highland, Utah for the first time I was surprised and happy to see a shop right on the corner as I headed up the hill to my new abode. The next day on my way to work I passed the same shop (different location) not 20 min away from my house on the other side of the hill.
"Is this some sort of cyclists heaven?" I thought. A shop available at home and on the way to work??
I was even more pleased to find out
Infinite Cycles is a
Cannondale dealer, the perfect fit for my needs. Needless to say I have been in and out of both locations countless times since my first drive by last October. I have been treated well by the staff and the owners and will continue to go back.
I guess my point is, if you like to ride recreationally, dabble with a bit of racing, or even race seriously, time spent getting to know your local bike shop, the staff, the mechanics, the inventory is time well spent.
